A Private Family Trip to Ladakh, India

My wife and I took a tour of the Ladakh area of India. Himanshu was very attentive to our needs and arranged a great trip for us. The lodging was in general very nice. Our guide Tundup was extremely knowledgeable - I literally think he knew the answer to every question that I asked. My only suggestion is that this tour does involve a lot of time in a car, so plan your itinerary carefully. For example, it did not seem realistic in Nubra Valley to visit Diskit Monastery, the sand dunes, and Turtuk Village all in the same day. We chose to forego the latter and spend more time on the first two, plus visiting another monastery nearby. If you plan on visiting Turtuk, it would be better to set aside a separate day just for that. Overall we were very pleased with the trip. Beautiful scenery, interesting sites (mostly monasteries, great guide and driver) I have done 4 trips through Tourllocal now - Columbia, Sri Lanka, and 2 in India - and have been extremely satisfied with all of them
