26-day amazing tour organized by Bout India

Had an amazing 26 day tour organised by Kunal at Bout India. We threaded a fantastic trip across India around 3 of the World Cup cricket matches. Highlights: Mumbai city and Elephanta Caves - great guides helped us to put modern India into perspective - with religion, Moguls, Gandhi and partition in the mix. Ahmedabad - added to our Gandhi knowledge and took a scary tuk tuk ride. Shimla and Dharamshala - fulfilled a long term dream to go to the Dharamshala cricket ground in the Himalayan foothills. And managed to get up and down the Triund Trek. Amritsar - amazing Golden Temple, our guide helped us to join in rolling some chapatis to feed the needy at Langar Hall. Delhi - our guide Hari was very helpful to show us around and to solve the mystery of where to pick up tickets for the cricket match. Lovely hotels all the way though the trip - our Delhi hotel Jaypee Vasant was the standout. Agra and Jaipur were great - such knowledgable guides. Great to meet up with the Bout team in Jaipur. Also got the chance to visit an elephant sanctuary close to the Amber Palace - and had a ride and time for close ups. The Kerela part of the trip allowed some jungle time - and were lucky enough to see wild elephants.

Overall 5 stars - great organisation, brilliant guides and such fantastic drivers throughout.
