Pleasantly exuberant and extremely enchanting - Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim state, is one of the most sought-after hill stations in India. Situated at the altitude of 1650 m above sea level, the town during its clear sunny days offers a spectacular view of Mt. Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world. Gangtok has a boisterous nightlife as well. Its popular MG Road is lined with trendy restaurants and pubs that stay open until 11 pm.

To get a closer view of Kanchenjunga Peak, perhaps there couldn't be a better tourist destination than the beautiful small town of Pelling. Pelling is a small town located in the West district of Sikkim, at an altitude of 2,150 meters (7,200 feet) above sea level. Visiting the Khecheopalri Lake is both a spiritual as well as adventurous experience. Close to the Pelling town, also lies the old ruins of the Old Rabdentse Palace. Rabdentse was the second capital of Sikkim till 1814 CE. Visiting these ruins is a wonderful peek into the history of this Himalayan kingdom.

Darjeeling, nestled among a vast expanse of tea estates, lies at an altitude of 2,050 meters above sea level and so it has a cool climate all year long. It was the former summer capital of India under British rule and has evolved into one of India's most popular hill stations. Tiger Hill is a fantastic spot to see a spectacular sunrise over the mountains in all its awe-inspiring glory.

This will be a short trip, but will keep you fascinated all along.
