Jispa (elevation 3,200 m or 10,500 ft; population 332) is a sleepy and picturesque village in Lahaul and Spiti district, in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is located along the Manali-Leh Highway and the Bhaga River. The village of Jispa is dotted with several Buddhist stupas which is quite a common sight in the villages of this region. It is surrounded by picturesque views of the mist-covered mountains and clouds, both of which make the village look like a beautiful landscape portrait.
The village has a helipad, a post office, and a monastery. Travelers visit this place often to spend the night here in its peaceful and comfortable environment, also the village is a paradise for adventure fanatics interested in mountaineering, cycling, and motorbike riding. The village has a hotel, a mountaineers’ hut, and a campground. Jispa also has a small folk museum.
