Pondicherry

Away from the hustle and bustle of a big city, Puducherry formerly known as Pondicherry; is a quiet little town on the southern coast.

The Union Territory of Puducherry comprises of four coastal regions Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam.  With Its explicit French connection, town retains a number of colonial buildings, churches, statues, and systematic town planning, as well as urban architecture of the local Tamil style.

Puducherry was a French colony until 1954. With major attractions like fishing villages, beach resorts, palm-fringed beaches, fine wine with great food, backwaters and French heritage, Pondicherry owes the legacy of a prime tourist spot in Indian.
