Ranthambore was the name derived from the name of two hills in the area Ran & Thambore, its main attractions are Ranthambore Fort and Ranthambore National park.
Ranthambore Fort is 700 feet above the surrounding plain which is in the Ranthambore National Park it was the hunting grounds of Royal families, The Fort was built in 10th century by the Chauhans, and it’s one of the oldest Forts in Rajasthan, its several kms in circumference.
Ranthambore National Park is one of the finest tiger reserves in India, it is in every sense the perfect place for wildlife photography, the forests are rich in flora and fauna which makes it suitable for inhabitation of many different species. Aravalli and Vindhya ranges meet in these forests, which comes under Angogeissus Pendula forest. The rocky smudges, magnificent ponds and lakes makes Ranthambore a refurbishing tourist destination with picturesque ambience .
